National Association of Massage & Manipulative Therapists - (NAMMT)

The National Association of Massage & Manipulative Therapists was accepted by the GCMT in 2008. NAMMT represents a growing number of practitioners and students from the Northern Institute of Massage, the Midland School of Massage & Manipulative Therapy, therapeutic massage students undertaking the BSc(Hons) at the University of Central Lancashire and the Bodycare School in Londonderry.

The majority of the members are in private practice although some work in professional sport and a few in the NHS. NAMMT supports the work of GCMT and has an active research and CPD programme for members.

The NAMMT committee is chaired by Mr M Thacker of the Belper Backpain Clinic and the secretary is Alan Inger, who is also Secretary of the Tiny Tim Centre in Coventry. All committee members are massage and/or manipulative therapists, tutors and academics who work together for the benefit and support of members. New members are always welcome as are students from schools, colleges and universities.
